Registration and Residence Permit Procedures for Foreign Students!


     A new protocol has been signed between the Council of Higher Education and the Ministry of Interior, Directorate of Migration Management regarding university enrollment and residence procedures. In accordance with this protocol, international students will submit the documents required for residence procedures to the Universities from now on.
 
     Accordingly, international students who will enroll in our University are required to submit the documents required for residence permits to the student affairs units (Faculties/Schools/Schools of Higher Education/TÖMER) where they study until further notice. Residence permit documents will be delivered to the Provincial Immigration Administration through these units. Until a new announcement, the units authorized to receive the documents of our international students are the student affairs units of the faculties/schools/vocational schools/TÖMER where the students will study.
 
     In line with this new regulation, in order to carry out the residence permit procedures of our international students without disruption, they must personally go to the student affairs units where they study with the documents specified below. The documents required for the residence permit will then be sent to the Provincial Immigration Administration.

                     

Documents to be Submitted to The Units for Residency Procedures During Registration

 It is necessary to apply for a residence permit document at https://e-ikamet.goc.gov.tr.

1- Residence permit registration/application form (wet signed by the student)

2- Passport or passport substitute document (original as seen)

3- Document showing student status

4- 4 biometric photographs

5- Valid Health Insurance (GHI or private health insurance covering the period of residence permit request)

6- Document showing the address information

             a- If he/she is staying in his/her own house, a copy of the title deed (for extension applications, “certificate of residence” is sufficient)

             b- If staying with a lease agreement, a notarized copy of the lease agreement

             c- If staying in hotels, etc., a document indicating that you have stayed in these places

             d- If staying in student dormitories, a document indicating that you are staying in the dormitory

             e- Notarized commitment of the person staying with the sponsor if the sponsor is staying with him/her (If the sponsor is married, notarized commitment of his/her spouse is also required)

7- Receipt of payment of the residence permit document fee

8- For foreigners under 18 years of age;

For those arriving with a visa exemption or a visa for a different purpose; a document containing the information of the parent/guardian (birth certificate, family certificate, etc.) and the consent given by the parent/guardian/legal representative (for those arriving with a visa suitable for the purpose ((study visa)); consent and document containing the information of the parent/guardian will not be required)

NOTE: The documents written above are only required for the residence permit. The documents required for student enrollment in the school must be prepared separately and submitted to the relevant units where the student will study.
